The menu is packed with great sounding dishes. It was very difficult to choose as I could have eaten every thing. The sea food was to die for. Main course was beautifully cooked and presented. This is the third time we have eaten in the restaurant and never faulted the food and service.
This is an establishment that in many respects troubled us however there is no doubt that the food is outstanding. Let me explain. The menu is promoted as being heavily Cornish and very locally based. This appears to be the case. We majored on seafood and can highly recommend the Plaice with caper and mushroom sauce and the Hake with...

If you are loking for a good meal in North Cornwall, you should try The Riverside in Boscastle. We have just had our second meal in three days at this charming restaurant. Both meals (seabass and seabrim, the first night and smoked haddok on creamy spinage) were very good. And the staffs are very friendly.
Grumpy staff and quite expensive; it is always sad when you are met by grumpy staff and this did not endear us which was a shame
Celebrated at the Riverside, excellent service, very good food, Scallop & Bacon starter, wife had Hake with Smoked Salmon I had Crab Salad, both very nice (could have done with some new potatoes with the salad perhaps) finished by the excellent Meringue with Clotted Cream and berries! All in all a terrific meal and decent value at just over £50...

My partner choose the riverside restaurant from friends recommendations . Didn't disappoint fantastic meal great service thanks very much
I cannot speak highly enough of the lovely meal we had here. My wife had Plaice with Scallops which was excellent. I had a Sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked and served with home made, double cooked chips. When I asked for some Garlic mayonaise a large portion of freshly made was on the table in no time. The service...

We stayed at The Riverside in early May 2013 and loved every minute. From the very warm welcome by Ross and his dry wit it started out very well. We were first introduced to Rattlers Cider and it got better from then on in. The food was amazing, two of our party had the crab salad, one had duck and...
