Probably the best Sunday lunch I've had for a long time, really good food in a small but friendly atmosphere. These people know how to cook! Keep a look out on the next dates for their lunches as it's not every Sunday.
We enjoyed a memorable meal while holidaying nearby. The menu was not overlong but carefully chosen to cater for all tastes. Good use was made of seasonal and local produce and what struck us most was that the team obviously took great pride in both the food and service. The wine list was sensibly priced and complemented the food. We... More
After an enjoyable visit in October 2013, we celebrated my husbands birthday during our holiday in Coverack with our daughters. The meal was fantastic, brilliantly presently and all parts of each individual meal were exceptional. The quality and the care in the presentation and taste of the food is just breathtaking. So much so we returned to finish our holiday... More
We visited twice this year as the best place to eat in England. excellent venison, fish and seafood came with superb service, the chocolate nemesis is wonderful, triple melon sorbet with black pepper beautiful, always a great treat and sad we don't live near enough to visit more often!! Thank you for making our holiday that much extra special Neil... More
Have been to this restaurant quite a few times now and thought it only fair to review it. The food has always been fabulous. On one occasion my family of four adults all had a totally different meal and tried each others. Without exception each was wonderfully seasoned an well cooked. I mention that the meals are not cheap and... More
Cosy, intimate atmosphere. Attentive and fast service (despite it being just a husband and wife operation). Meat of excellent quality - the veal was cooked to perfection with a wonderful buttery sauce. Monk fish scampi was a very clever play of different flavours with the salsa and aromatic batter. This is quality french cooking which must be savoured if you're... More
Probably best to book, because the restaurant was pretty full on Thursday evening at 7.20 when we arrived. However, we were welcomed and found a table. The service was friendly and informative, but slow, as they were very busy, with only one "front of house". The main courses and desserts were delicious, but we found the separate vegetables rather disappointing.... More
After many years absence we were pleased to find this restaurant which is very modest in it's external advertising and though we knew the village well it is not easy to spot. It is also modest in terms of style and menu but the surroundings are cosy and the food is prepared and served by owners who clearly care about... More
We have been eating in St Kevern with a Diving group for several years and this was the first time we tried the Greenhouse - how I wish we had tried it earlier. The meal we had was excellent with everyone in a group of 12 really impressed (a feat in itself) The atmosphere is really nice, cosy without being... More
For the last few years this has been our favorite local restaurant but, perhaps for need of a change, we hadn't been for a few months. Last night we had a truly fabulous meal with an exceptional Souffle and brilliant venison. Why did we ever interrupt our visits ?
