I came first time to Byron and it was as everyone told me very beautiful, then there is this japanese restaurant Kinoko that makes the best sushis I had for a long time. The atmosphere is really cool with this sushi train..you like to eat everything ! prices are very reasonable and the staff is cool also..

Ate both from the sushi train and table service and very happy on both occassions. Really impressed when we came in the second time to be told that we had over paid the night before and that we had $50 credit!

When you see the nice soy sauce containers, and the wasabi is not in a tube, and the ginger is naturally pale (not dyed pink) you know you're in good hands. We had the Sesame Salmon and one of the specials of the day, Jew fish. Both very nicely done, and the salad dressing was A1. Good service and the... More

This was our second visit to Kinoko, and we enjoyed the food just as much this time as on the previous occasion. For entrees we had the Agedashi Eggplant and the Haloumi Cheese Tempura (this doesn’t sound right but is actually very good), both of which were tasty decent sized portions. For the main course we had the Japanese Curry... More

Kinoko had a slow start but is now a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. Kinoko is both a sushi train and a Japanese restaurant and unlike many sushi trains they manage this combo comfortably, I often order off their menu and use the train as an entree, they have cold and hot saki on tap as well as... Once we tried this place, my friend and I had lunch there everyday for two weeks. Sitting at the sushi train and watching the delicious array of food go past is a great way to sit and enjoy lunch. The sushi dishes eaten were all delicious and great value. The food was fresh, tasty and divine. With green tea what... More

We have been going to Kinoko every week for the last 2 years. By far the best sushi I've had in Northern Rivers and Brisbane sushi trains/shops. Always fresh. The salmon & tuna is amazing.

We love Japanese food and were surprised to see 3 Japanese chefs working hard at Kinoko - we loved the food - try the sushi train - so much fun and delicious...
