Visitors to Hilton Head think they have discovered something special when they have to stand in line often surrounded by screaming kids to order a deep fried sea food. Maybe I've been unlucky, but once again at the insistence of friends we braved a busy Friday night, noisy staff, screaming kids and unfortunately fish that had been deep fried in... More

I liked the fact that the portions are smaller than most places. The food tasted fresh and the line to get in says it all. Its worth it. Certainly on the pricey side however. Fresh food cost more though!!! I will be back again and again. More

Go alone or eat outside at a picnic table if you want to hold a conversation. Lots of yelling inside by staff. Plus customer conversations at 13 inside tables reverberate off walls, floor and ceiling in this small place. The grilled grouper and flounder sandwiches were very good. Portions are small and pricey ($12 for a sandwich and two sides).... More

Some of us liked it, some did not. Not particularly friendly staff. Fried flounder and shrimp were a success, as well as the shrimp gumbo. Blackened Mahi was good and fresh but the portion was very small for the price. The coleslaw was bland and grilled shrimp were over cooked and dry. No doubt the seafood is fresh, just a... More

We carried out, so I have no experience with the dine-in but I was very pleased. The shrimp were very good, even though a tad on the small side (not jumbo...probably medium at best). The fish was very good. I didn't enjoy the scallops so much (they were gigantic) but I'm not generally a scallop fan so my opinion is... More

A very unique dining experience and enjoyed taking the pressure off a night of expensive seafood and wine bars. Sat down and ordered a large fried platter of flounder, oysters, and shrimp. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and unique home feel of the restaurant. Definitely a one of a kind on the island. More

The food is very good. This will now be one of the places we eat each time we visit the island. if you are looking for glitz and glam it's not the place for you but if you want very good food, good customer service and fast service, it is definetly for you! More

We asked the hotel clerk for a recommendation for a seafood restaurant. She gave us two recommendations. WE are so happy that we chose the Sea Shack. The restaurant was nothing special to look at. There was a line outside the restaurant. The line move quickly. On entering the restaurant, you go through a line, order your food, pay and... More
