VERY nice. Bar in front, crowded, homey (motel on premises) filed mignon, excellent, extraordinary dessert menu they only had the filet on the menu, not a problem, price was right. Service was excellent!

The reason some reviewers talk about how strangely limited the menu is (only filet mignon) and others rave about the German specialities and salads is that the lunch menu and dinner menu--and indeed, the entire atmosphere--is vastly different at these different seatings. Took my family out to lunch at the Alpine in as it was recommend widely by the locals ofthe area. They had a huge selection of items for lunch that pleased even our picky eaters. Food was all home made and you could tell!

The salad was one of the best I have had and wish I lived there to go back and try their German dishes and their desserts. I was too full to eat more. Should have taken one with me.

It was good, but not exceptional. It was extremely crowded, which is fine, but the dinner was just average. We did enjoy sitting in the bar and listening to the music before dinner. The restaurant was recommended by the staff at the cabins where we were staying.
