I enjoyed a great meal at Red Pony just last week with some colleagues of mine. We were seated upstairs and sectioned off from the rest of the floor. We had our own private dining experience. Their cocktail menu is a decent sized list, everyone seemed pleased with their order. We all shared appetizers, which were all incredible. I never... More

From the opening Bijou cocktail, to the ceviche with grilled avocado to a properly cooked Pittsburgh Strip, to an amazing waitress who "loosened" our first glass of wine and then poured every subsequent glass, and ending with excellent creme brulee and a divine gluten free coconut cake: an absolutely delectable dining experience without one atom if starch in it's collar.

I had made reservations for this past weekend for my wife and I to the Red Pony. We were seated promptly upon arrival in the upstairs dining section of the restaurant. We both ordered cocktails from the decent sized list and both of us were pleased with our choices. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with... More

Enjoyed a great supper at Red Pony while visiting the Nashville area. The restaurant is located on a quaint main street in the middle of town. Parking can be found along the side streets. Our table was positioned against a large window looking in on the kitchen where the novelty of watching staff in action was interesting. Because it was... More

We went here for our anniversary in July 2012. The atmosphere was romantic - small and dimly lit. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I had a watermelon, banana pepper salad at the waiter's recommendation. It sounded like a bad combo, but it was the best salad I've ever had.

When I have the rare opportunity to arrive at a client site a little early, I try to explore and eat at a local place. TripAdvisor directed me to Red Pony. I had never been to Franklin before, so did a walk around town before an early dinner. Charming place. As a solo female diner, I was given my choice... More

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at the Red Pony, preceding a fabulous live performance at the Franklin Theatre down the block. Everything clicked here, from the moment we arrived until we departed. Our reservation was honored on time, no wait. We were seated upstairs in a quiet, relatively large, romantically lit dining space. Our server was so special.... More

I doubt you could go wrong with a night at Red Pony. Great, central location in Franklin, free municipal parking lot right across the street, lovely, somewhat romantic atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and professional. Lots of knowledge about the menu and brought us a nice amuse bouche "since this was our first visit to the restaurant." I don't... More

Great place. I would go back again. So convenient to the Franklin Theater. Great choices with lots of variety of food. We ate upstairs outside on the balcony. It was a nice evening.

If you want to treat yourself to a delicious meal, go to Red Pony, where the quality of food is outstanding, the staff is always professional. The atmosphere is cozy - somewhat romantic, and perfect for any occasion. We recommend trying to get a seat upstairs where you get a little more elbow room and the atmosphere is more intimate.
