Tucked away down a small alleyway the black cat is a wonderful little find. It may be small but the flavours are superb and the staff friendly

We stumbled across this gem tucked away up an alley, and it was absolutely lovely. Very friendly and welcoming, very tasty cakes and snacks (including gluten free). Will definitely be going back

The service and friendliness was great but the food was even better - you MUST try their beetroot and chocolate brownies! Even my non-vegetarian friends loved it there, the potato and spinach galette with salad was just fab I only wish I had a place like this near where I live!

Not your typical Trip Advisor moaner, but I had a bad experience which I feel I should share. Went there for lunch and the waitress was waiting endlessly for a group of middle-aged woman to make up their mind about to have. Not her fault, but, after it was established they needed more time to decide, she wandered off to... More

Happened upon this little gem as my eagle eyed 9 year old spotted a sign with a blck cat in it, directing us down a small road. As I am a vegetarian it was a must, had the best hot choc we've had all week and I would recommend the grilled hallumi salad. Delicious. I would recommend.

Good for a visit whether veggie or not. On a freezing day got a warm welcome and hearty food including lovely halloumi with scrumptious salad. Ridiculously good value for money - spent some time trying to get the waitress to accept more.

Popped in having seen the A board advertising this cafe down a side street near the harbour front... I fancied a coffee, and although the choice was only black coffee or white coffee, it wasn't too bad... The cakes all looked great, and I overheard a chap loudly praising the carott cake - but I wanted something savoury and the... More

A super little cafe. Small and cosy with great choice of teas, coffees and vegetarian food. Although we only had teas and hot chocolate we loved the All Day Snacks menu. Worth a visit. Prices were excellent.

Recent visit to the Black Cat for my birthday afternoon tea was a great experience. Lovely homemade cakes, super value for money, and helpful manageress. The is a very small but pleasant cafe, and a real find. All three of us were impressed with the standard of fresh baked goods and nice selection of teas and coffees. Overall I would... More
