We stumbled across this gem tucked away up an alley, and it was absolutely lovely. Very friendly and welcoming, very tasty cakes and snacks (including gluten free). Will definitely be going back
The service and friendliness was great but the food was even better - you MUST try their beetroot and chocolate brownies! Even my non-vegetarian friends loved it there, the potato and spinach galette with salad was just fab I only wish I had a place like this near where I live!
Not your typical Trip Advisor moaner, but I had a bad experience which I feel I should share.
Went there for lunch and the waitress was waiting endlessly for a group of middle-aged woman to make up their mind about to have.

A super little cafe. Small and cosy with great choice of teas, coffees and vegetarian food. Although we only had teas and hot chocolate we loved the All Day Snacks menu. Worth a visit. Prices were excellent.
Can not fault the food, drink or atmosphere. It's amazing what the owner has done with the space, it's truly a hidden treasure in brixham that everyone needs to discover!
Recent visit to the Black Cat for my birthday afternoon tea was a great experience. Lovely homemade cakes, super value for money, and helpful manageress.
The is a very small but pleasant cafe, and a real find. All three of us were impressed with the standard of fresh baked goods and nice selection of teas and coffees.
Overall I would...
