Very friendly welcome from landlord and locals, varied selection of food and prices, lovely log fire burning to warm us on a very cold day. Relaxed seating in the bar area made for a good atmosphere; great lunch time food and very good service! Burger, pie, 4 cheese pasta and baked potato all delicious! Have had several meals at the Stag since moving to the village, lunchtime and evening. I have never been disappointed with the service or food. Excellent varied menu to suit all tastes and lovely ambiance. It's a very friendly pub and the fish and chips come highly recommended.
