We stopped by for a light lunch and were delighted with our soups - large tureens for both of us and a plate of fresh bread and butter. I had leek, potato and blue cheese, which was a wonderful combination, and my companion a type of vegetable soup. The restaurant is housed in a design studio that gives it a... More

Visited last week, food and service were as fellow guests commented akin to the Ritz, ironed table linen, proper china, prompt service, and an Edwardian Dresser laiden with home made cakes. Having read other reviews, saw no one had milk pre added to cups, but sreved in china milk jugs, waitresses with pinnies, classical music, and lovely prints and interiors... More

Myself and my boyfriend decided to visit Minsturs on a rainy bank holiday with nothing else open in Sturminster (Minsturs was not top on our list of places to visit having heard bad reviews from friends). The atmosphere of the tea rooms was pleasant and the service decent but the value for money and quality of food was terrible. We... More

We were very disappointed with the small portion size of our lattice bake. It was far too small - we had to stop at a tea room on our way home to fill up! Luke warm, with a soggy bottom, this was way over over-priced with two colas and a lattice bake lunch costing over £15. With little choice to... More

A fantastic refined tea room, excellent service, and a pleasant menu with something a little different, the salad garnish is yummy!!!, and everything is presented beautifully, a great place for a tea party of any age, but great for the more mature customer. Also great for cream tea, or just coffee and cake, or a sandwich at lunch time, very... More

We were not impressed with this establishment. In particular the tea was expensive and came in a cup with milk already added.

After just visiting Minsturs for High Tea as a treat for Mother's Day I am left wondering 'what on earth just happened?' We were served luke-warm Iceland food, followed by white Hovis sandwich fingers mainly filled with cucumber and for dessert a selection of defrosted petits fours surrounded by chocolate buttons covered with hundreds and thousands. On display there were... More

Lovely tea rooms with a traditional old English style. Ironed tablecloths, bone china cups, silver spoons but not at all stuffy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. They serve a small selection of savoury dishes for a light lunch. There was a large selection of cakes for afternoon tea. Found it on a rainy day so didn't get a... More
