Went to the Deja Vu with my sister and the service was outstanding. We had the gumbo and they give you a lot. It was very tasty and filling. We sat with a local couple and had a good conversation with them. Although the place is small, I think this is what makes the atmosphere unique and relaxing.

This place is tiny, but, the food is big! We waited for a table and they asked my husband and I if we minded sitting with another couple. Of course! Let's eat! The food is amazing! I got Big Keith's Bayou Classic with tilapia. The shrimp and crawfish were so fresh and tender. Everyone at the table loved the food.... More

I finally went to Deja Vu after hearing so much about it. I was not disappointed. Wow, a place in Memphis where vegans and non vegans have so many choices. I love it when Chef Gary comes to talk to all of the customers and I love eating local. The service was great and I loved the pasta primavera. I'm... More

I gave eaten at déjà vu many times and it has become my favorite. Chef Gary and his wife run a great place. Food is outstanding. Every meal I have had had been delicious. I enjoyed the blackened fish and pasta. The bananas foster cheesecake is worth the trip. I understand that Gary is opening another place on south main... More

Southern charm at this small, inconspicuous busy restaurant. Table sharing is likely for small groups. ("Ya'all mind sharing?") Food was amazing with many vegetarian options! Friendly service. Would go again for sure!

Lady friend and I found this hole in the wall on Florida just a couple hours before it closed. So glad we were able to get in but still had to share a table with another couple. Please expand and/or add some patio seating. Your food is worth it! As for the chow, I had some excellent gumbo stocked with... More

My husband and I fell in love with this place. It was off the beaten path and in a residential/warehouse district. We visited this establishment last weekend for lunch. Very small place with just a few tables. We were made to feel very welcome (everyone was so nice) and enjoyed the fresh air coming through the screen door. My husband... More

The only thing better than the food is the people that work here. The owner and chef is a shinning star and he definitely rubs off on his crew. This restraurant is a true must for the Memphis experience. Great food.

We had a hankerin' for some good ole' Cajun while we were in Memphis. I ordered the Crawfish Etoufee which was very tasty. On the advice of our most excellent waiter Robert, my girlfriend Ali ordered the Alligator Stew. We both really liked the flavor of the Alligator and the Gravy was super! Chef Gary was a gracious host and... More

My wife and ate here April the 13th. Had a great meal, a desert that was to die for and incredible hospitality. There is something about southern people that you need to experience that can't be explained The neighborhood that it was in only added to the flair. This was by far are best meal of our 3 day stay... More
