Some friends of ours invited us to join them for dinner at Mandola's last night. It is located way out in the country near Driftwood, TX, but I I have to say that you get the feeling that you're on an Italian estate. My wife and I LOVED this place. The atmosphere and staff were great. The italian restaurant was delicious but we only had the anti-pasti and gelato. The wine was good. And the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the outdoor seating was limited.
Service is impeccable! Beautiful ambiance. Food, well it couldn't get any better. Minuses: Can be very loud (concrete floors, large room); Kinda pricy. A wonderful place for that "special night out".

The tasting room allows you to sample the Mandola-produced wines (generally from grapes near Lubbock). The restaurant also has a good wine list, in addition to the Mandola wines....
