Went to the diner for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised at the generous portions of food and the attentive waitstaff. I'm a nut about wanting my coffee cup filled all the time and I never had to call someone over for more coffee. Kinda fun to eat breakfast and see the planes landing and departing from the Gillespie County...

The Airport Diner sits with a view of the runway. If you need a banana split fix this is a great spot to sit back and enjoy the small planes take off and land while you get into a very hearty banana split. You might want to share it with a friend.
What a cool-looking diner! Too bad the food was lousy. Stopped in for breakfast and was surprised my meal came so quickly & then learned why. Cold, half-cooked bacon, watery grits, and warmed up eggs. Ugh! Very disappointing.
On each visit to Fredericksburg, TX we try to work in a meal at The Airport Diner. We were staying at Lady Bird Park in our RV so The Diner was very close. The food is great and the setting is great with a view of the airport runway just feet from the diner. Be sure and check the hours...

This diner is very cute and very clean. Very 50's, but with a definite airplane decor. This diner sits practically on the runway (like the diner in Brenham, TX), but I found it to be much cleaner and the service was far better. It was fun to watch the planes take off and land while we ate. The food is...

This was our third time to dine here and the food was once again good as far as diners go. Nothing great but decent breakfast and lunch fare. The location on the airport is kind of cool. Be mindful that most of the seating is booths that accommodate 4 people. If you have more than 4 in your party then...

Maybe the diner was having an off day because my food was absolutely terrible. Ordered the biscuits and gravy and I have never had gravy look and taste so awful. It had a shimmery layer of grease and just an unusual taste.Biscuits were bland with not much flavor. The atmosphere was great though. Loved watching people that were eating in the...

This is an updated old style dinner at the airport adjacent to the Hanger Hotel. The place gleams with chrome. The decor is definitely aviation themes from the 40's. We were there for breakfast. The food and coffee were great.
A traditional american diner on the apron of a working airport with a 1940's aero theme. Lovely nostalgic decor and furnishings, but in real-life way - it feels like your really back in the 40's.
Freshly made food (so you need to wait a bit while it's prepared), but certainly worth waiting for. Great eggs, bacon, truly huge pancakes and...
