We went to Auslander for dinner on our vacation, and it happened to be Mother's Day. We were a little worried, but while there were many guests, there was no wait. We had a wonderful meal. I had the jagerschnitzel, and my fiancé had the kasewurst. Both were hearty portions and were great! We both had side salads, and I... More

After a morning of exploring the shops at Fredericksburg with my wife I was more than ready for a small lunch and a beer. We found our way to Auslander and were pleasantly welcomed and seated quickly. We started with outstanding lightly fried mushrooms and cabbage. The Shnitzel was also very good. There are a wide variety of imported beers... More

I have had the Schnitzel many times before and it is outstanding with the red gravy. However, now I have to downshift to something a little more low cal and their chicken breast is amazing. It's very tender and has great marination and seasoning. I opted for my two sides to be the green beans but they have some killer... More

We had a wonderful late lunch. Everything we got was delicious! The potato skins had an interesting twist to them and the Fredericksburg burger was so good! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Having eaten at the best German restaurants in San Francisco & NYC, I would say that I have been a bit spoiled. But after returning from a two week trip to Germany, I can honestly say that I was quite privileged in experiencing first hand, the food and culture of the different regions of Germany. I was yearning to experience... More

Food is mediocre AT BEST. Group of us went in and bought one of every entree and NONE of us felt it tasted ok or was worth the money. Will never enter place again.

We saw this restaurant had mixed reviews on various sites, but decided to try it. We have eaten at other German restaurants and this wasn't the worst or the best. The service was fast and the food was hot and as I rated it-the food was good.

1st visit to Auslander. Waiter started out very good with knowledge of beer and food. Then it went south. After 1st round of beer, and appetizer, waited more than 50 minutes to get main course, and that was after I had to flag him down. Then, after waiting a very long time for the check, I had to get up... More

Wife and I randomly picked Auslander, we were glad we did. My wife had the Ruben, I have the ham and turkey club, with the pretzel bread. My wife loves ruben sandwiches, adn said it was one of the best she ahs ever had. I loved the pretzel bread, which I asked for on my club. Both sandwiches were big... More
