We arrived like royalty and the doors swung open like the gates to the Emerald City, our coats taken and gently but assertively led to our table where we would begin our ravenous destruction of a handsome steak or two. This is why we came. And we prayed it wouldn't be the smoke and mirrors that Dorothy found. After water... More

I was deciding between Vic and Anthony's and another steak house in downtown Houston - asked the concierge at the hotel - he strongly recommended Vic and Anthony's, describing it as the "crown jewel" of Houston dining. He sure was right about that. From the service to the perfectly seasoned and cooked porterhouse to the absolutely humongous dessert, Vic and... More

When you call and reserve a table, they will give you any time you request. When you get to the restaurant, your table won't be ready and you will be asked to sit in the bar. The only problem is there is no place to sit in the bar because all of the other poor dopes who made reservations, (you... More

Vic & Anthony's gets it. Dining is about more than just the food. Yes, the food has to be perfect, as does the atmosphere and the service, in order to be worthy of a "5" from this reviewer. Lunch with a friend last week showed me that Vic & Anthony's is prepared, and does deliver. The steaks were marvelous, as... More

Me and my girlfriend went to V&A on Saturday May 4th for our anniversary dinner. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and were seated promptly until 8:50pm or so.... The negative: In my opinion i believe this place is suited more for groups of people and not for individuals going for an anniversary or a date night. We were seated... More

We were heading to a basketball game, so we decided to duck in from the inclement weather to grab a drink and a quick bite before the game. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted and offered drinks. Since we were in a moderate rush, we opted against ordering a full meal and instead focused on appetizers and... More

My husband and I treat ourselves to a good steakhouse a few times a year. Unfortunately vIc and Anthonys In Houston did not deliver. We had held a reservation for a month and were seated promptly in a wine room upstairs. The crabcake appetizer was wonderful but served colder than it should be. I had the red snapper and while... Right up there with Ruth's Chris and Capital Grille, Vic and Anthony's is a great prime steakhouse. Located right downtown near Minute Maid park, the food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Be prepared to pay though...as you would expect. The restaurant seems to take itself a bit too "seriously", hope you get Maximilian who does his job with... More
