Description: The Original Ninfa's on Navigation Located on Navigation Boulevard just minutes from the heart of downtown Houston, the Original Ninfa's was all started with Mama Ninfa Laurenzo's creative TexMex recipes. These led to the introduction of fajitas & Mexican cuisine to North America which gained immediate success. If you're looking for a Houston Mexican restaurant, Ninfa's on Navigation is not only a local icon, having serviced politicians, celebrities & even visiting royalty, their Mexican food is unbeatable. Chef Alex Padilla uses only top quality ingredients, like Mama Ninfa herself did, & fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood like red snapper, jumbo shrimp & more. Voted Best Margaritas, you can enjoy Ninfaritas on the outdoor deck, dine on the best Mexican dishes & fajitas around and truly enjoy the great restaurant experience.

Not much to say. Its alright but nothing spectacular. I've been too many other Mexican places in the city (some in the same vicinity) that are much better. Ninfas seems to be the popular spot so maybe others are seeing something I'm not. Kind of pricey too

A Houston institution with staying power for good reason. Fun to visit the Warehouse District and see what's happening just a few minutes from Downtown. We went at 5 pm on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the diverse and friendly crowd. The restaurant is large with vintage style, slightly crowded table seating and asking for a table near the back... The reviews were accurate: Ninfa's has the best beef fajitas. I split a half pound ($18.99) with my niece, who agreed that they were the tastiest she'd ever had. She also loved the green sauce that came with the chips. Not a cheap lunch but great as a shared plate. I'll be back.

Been coming here for many, many years for every occasion but most often when I need the best Tex-Mex fix. Their mixed plate of crisy taco, fajita and cheese enchilada makes my mouth water while writing this review. Seems anyone of any age for any occasion enjoys the upbeat atmosphere.

I went back after having rehersal dinner here 35 years ago. As I was being seated at 12:15 I mentioned a meeting at 1:00. At 12:45 done eating delicious enchiladas. Recommend 100 percent.

Food was excellent. Shuttle Service to stadium a real Plus....Would definitely return. Like most restaurants today, a little noisy.

I was seated on the patio for an early dinner and had loved the atmosphere, cool, authentic, and vibrant all around. Had the calamari, a couple margaritas, and some nachos. Simply put, everything tasted fresh and exquisite. Have not had this type of taste in all of Houston.

This is the original location. When you walk in the first thing you see is the food line as the cooks pass the food out for service. The tamales are superb as are their famous margaritas. If you plan on going on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for dinner....make reservations or expect a wait of 90 minutes or more. But... More

This is where it all began in Houston. Fajitas were discovered by Mama Ninfa Lorenzo in the early 70's. This was the only (and still is) place to get the authentic and delicious fajitas. Her empire now has expanded to multiple locations across the city. All restaurants are quaint and cozy not to mention that the food is excellent.

We had a big team dinner at the Original Ninfa's and had a wonderful time. It definitely satisfied our craving for authentic Tex-Mex. The food was superb, and everything came out very quickly. We shared several servings of the guacamole with chips, which were so good we might have eaten a few too many before the main dishes... Then we... More
