Cute place to pop in and have breakfast or lunch. Food isn't that special but the location is great and staff is friendly.
quick, fair prices, fresh, good choice for breakfast & lunch. The adult grilled cheese with tomato soup is wonderful. Pancakes are a sweet treat Coffee is the best in town!
The McKinney town square is the best in the area and very authentic (they did not have to "create" a downtown like Frisco did on the Tollway, McKinney's has been there since 1845, has a ton of history (the James brothers used to vacation here strangely enough). I've only eaten at Spoons one time. The food and service were both so poor that they don't get a second chance from me. I there for lunch on a Saturday and was served a very soggy rueben and cold french fries. I sent it back initially but that only got me a microwaved hot, more soggy rueben and hot... More
Great food- loved the tomato caprese salad. Food is outstanding but the music in the place is so loud- its hard to enjoy a conversation with your dinner. Have been there twice, and it was so loud you can't talk. Would go more often but we like to talk over dinner. We love music, but not at that level.
For what this restaurant charges I would have expected better. I ordered ham and cheese with sprouts on grilled sourdough. There was only a thin slice of ham and the cheese did not cover but a little over half of the sandwich. If I wanted a sprout sandwich I would have order that. My husband ordered the vegetable omelet only... More

The key lime AND the chocolate pie were indulging but well worth it. Loved it all. It is a family restaurant so it will be... More
We stopped in here for lunch when walking around the historic district. I wanted some good Potato Soup. The soup was just okay, nothing great, and I was disappointed. My husband got the chili which was better than mine. We wanted to try the fried pickles but the order was too big for just trying it and they wouldn't cut... More
