DJ's is always busy because they have a wide selection of excellent dishes, a fresh salad bar with lots of good stuff. Reasonable prices for exceptional food. The Prime Rib is the best anywhere. Excellent Filet Minon, Roast crispy duck, Baked scallops. Excellent service.

Entrees were large. Good standard fare. Family of 4 was $75.00. Salad bar was constantly refilled. They are only open during dinner. Close to Okemo.

We have visited DJ's many times. I'd label it a "supper place". Nonetheless, we'd always get a pleasant meal, decent comfort food, inexpensive to moderate prices. We visited this past Saturday evening. Typically mobbed, but just reconfirms in my minds eye a packed place doesn't indicate what is about to be preented to you. I was actually visiting another Trip... More

This seems to be a nice place for an older crowd… perhaps senior citizens. The booths were nice and spacious. The food was plentiful, warm rolls, a salad bar ….menu choices seemed interesting. However, the older waitress recited choices in a monotone voice which made us chuckle. When the food arrived it was overdone… chicken cutlets very dark and Au-gratin,... More

Ate here with a big group (10 adults, 4 kids). Was easy enough for a big group with lots of kids. They seem used to getting groups this size. Service was good and quick. Menu is decent sized, food is OK. Nothing exciting. Prices are high but so is everywhere else in Ludlow.

We went to DJs after it was recommended by hotel staff at the castle. Our waitress was rude and put off that we chose to try an appetizer before committing to a full meal. Thank God we were careful because the appetizer was clearly microwaved and on par with what we'd expect to discover in the freezer section of a... More

The dinner we had was marginal, but we were very grossed out when we went to wash our hands in the ladies room only to discover there was no running water in the sink. The faucet was broken, somene had left a container of Clorox wipes out on the counter. How was the staff keeping their hands clean? Ick.

This is one of the best places in southern Vermont. Not fancy, just really good. The food is always very good and plentiful. The prices are excellent and the service is great. We travel from Rutland to DJ's a couple times a month because the restaurants in Rutland suck. Wish DJ's was in Rutland.

We had a very good meal here the last weekend of January, 2013. The price seemed fair, and the food was quite good. It was an easy walk from the Governor's Inn, where we stayed, so it worked for us.

Cheerful staff somewhat offsets tired ambience, that is until the food arrives. Consistently awful: chicken overcooked to sawdust texture, salmon so overcooked it is gray, tasteless and of a mysterious genre. To be avoided.
