Sandwiches were of average quality & higher than average price for the location. Ambience is country-like & old fashioned.

We stopped at this "café" having read some advertisements. We ordered coffee and a pastry (Key Lime pie and a Chocolate mousse). The coffee was just barely OK, by far not what one would expect from a shop that specializes in serving coffee, and both pastries were on the stale side of presentable. Priced well beyond the quality offered. The... More

Spiral Press Cafe is a small terrific coffee shop with baked goods and some small lunch type items as well with very friendly efficient staff and outstanding coffee. It is also connected to a terrific bookstore and has a very large sitting/dining area up a half flight of stairs where you can eat, drink, chat and check your email via... More

I came to the bookstore with my daughter and we noticed the cafe area. She decided she was hungry so we ordered a sandwich (the Tuscanny Pannini), a cupcake and I had coffee. Of course I had to taste everything she got and it was delicious! Nice homemade pesto. Staff was very friendly and just a nice experience while browsing... More

We come here a lot because it is attached to our favorite Northshire Bookstore (a must for any book lover!) The cafe just happens to have the best coffee -- they really excell at specialty drinks. I am very picky about my machiatto and they really know how to make it! The baked goods are magical and impossible to resist.... More

We were looking for someplace else that was recommended to us but wound up here. A couple of delicious sandwiches and beverages and couple hundred dollars worth of books later and we knew we had found the right place, after all. We found lots of Christmas gifts for ourselves as we'll as our family!

They do coffee right. They do pastries right (butter, yes). And they've always got interesting soups & specials at lunch. Large sit-down dining space up a short flight of steps from the counter. Free wi-fi. When you're done, go buy a book at Northshire (shared space).

Looking for a place to have breakfast and not wanting to go where all the tourists go, we found this place and it wasn't crowded like all the others. The first thing you see are all the sweet pasteries and desserts. I prefer a more substantial breakfast and I now can recommend the Ultimate Egg Panini. 2 eggs, Vermont Cheddar... More
