Rushed...plain and simple. If you want to sit down and socialize with someone this is not the place to do it. Granted, we went at rush hour saturday morning but we waited for a table when there were many availible and when we got to our booth an employee/Manager? made people leave that were enjoying their coffee to allow more... I went to McCarthy's about 8 years ago, and it hasn't changed a bit! The staff is super friendly, and it's a very comfortable place. I had a make your own omelette, and it was very good. The breakfast potatoes were on the soft side (I prefer crispy, but I didn't ask for that). Inexpensive, but they do NOT take... More

We've been visiting Stowe for years, have now purchased a timeshare there, and have a son now living in the area. Every time we head up to "north country", we make a point of stopping in for breakfast. The price is right, the food fantastic, and the decor/customers typical Stowe. Don't miss it. Worth a trip.

We went for breakfast. We had the omelet with whole wheat toast, and the french toast with strawberries, and they were so delicious! The coffee is so-so. Would suggest a little more robustness in their choice. Prices are VERY reasonable. The place is small, so there was a long line at the door--but a testimony to how good the food... More

The hostess was very friendly. Her and the gentleman from the business next door bantered with my son about the rivalry between the Red Sox and the Yankees. We had a great time at this restaurant. The French toast was the best I've ever had. I chose the special oatmeal bread. I don't usually add butter to my French toast... More

Just perfect breakfast. Maple sausages...yum, and maple bacon....yum yum. Eggs were fabulous, service was superb. Check out the ladies restroom, really cool hand painted mural all over walls of mountain views. If in Stowe, go here for breakfast.

Rachel, our waitress, was wonderful. She graciously made substitutes (french fries instead of home fries) and knew how to be highly attentive without coming by too often. Unfortunately, the food/drink was only average. The toast was over-buttered, the green mountain coffee was Nantucket Blend (one of the worst) and the onions in my omelette were too numerous and too under-grilled.... More

Randomly stopped by one day to have breakfast and were amazed with how cheap( by Stowe standarts) and good it was. Will be coming there more often. I especially enjoyed there omelet selection where you can make your own with ingredients like smoked salmon and goat cheese

My wife and I liked this place so much we ate here three straight mornings. Their corned beef hash is great as are the peanut butter filled, chocolate covered donuts. Service is great too

Plenty of selections, cooked to order and served hot. Delicious pancakes, sausages, etc. We will return on our next visit to Stowe.
