This is a nice spot to grab a bite with friendly waitstaff and bartender. Food was tasty as well. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.

We recently had breakfast and dinner at the 1846 Tavern and Restaurant in Dover, Vermont with friends and were very happy with the quality of food and service. For dinner, there was a good selection of meat and seafood dishes. One of my friends had the buffalo wings and tenderloin steak tips and the other, who happens to be a... More

We sat at the bar. Loved their beer selection. Bar tender was a gem. Got some appetizers. LOVE their duck tenders. My husband was happy they had the game on. We will definitely be back soon.

Terrible service, burned steak (that was ordered medium). The second filet was cooked right but tasted strongly of char. The waiter seemed absolutely clueless the entire time. We didn't get bread because they ran out... but a table after us somehow got it. Waiter returned the check without my credit card in it. Table next to us had a terrible... More

Normally, we don't respond to reviews - good or bad - as you can see in our TripAdvisor history. The vast majority of people that eat at our restaurant have a fabulous time and come back over and over again because of the food, service and relaxed nature of our place. We serve over 14,000 happy customers each year (which... More

My family had a wonderful meal here on Saturday, all of our dishes were very good, but in particular I wanted to rave about mine. They had a special of a smoked trout and crab martini appetizer and it was AMAZING! A perfect blend of these two components in a very creative presentation. I will definitely get this again if... Had reservations on a busy Saturday night-right on time. We had a well made martini and the scallops with carrot risotto- delicious and nicely presented. Scallops were perfectly cooked. I am going to attempt to replicate at home! Shared a yummy lava cake for dessert. Service was great by everyone. Will definitely go back. Wished husband had salmon so I... More

Fist time to Vermont and learned about this place through trip advisor. Ordered the filet medium rare and was served a well done steak (there was no pink at all). Reluctantly sent it back and was then served a raw steak that was cold on the edges and could not even melt the cheese topping. The other 2 people in... More

Went in on Sunday night because of reccomendations we saw here and were disappointed. 2 of us had burgers ordered medium rare and both were way overcooked with soggy fries and tasteless onion rings. Girls had crab cakes which came out on the cold side and sirloin tips which were ok, but nothing special. Our expectations are never very high... More
