The potato flour is what makes their donuts taste so good. It's wise to get there early if you want a good selection because they go fast. Don't miss your chance to taste the best!

This is *the* donut place in C'ville and if you've not been here you don't know Charlottesville's local food scene. By local, I mean belonging to the actual locals. In the heart of Blemont, right off of Avon and on the Belmont Bridge, Spudnuts is home to the potato flour donut. Think Krispy Kreme, but fresher, bigger, and better. That's...

It was a very good selection to choose from. Was a little busy but very good hot donuts. Cashier was apologizing for the delay but had a big order.
Don't leave Charlottesville without eating donuts from this great historic icon. Take a dozen or two with the you if you must leave town. A great place for breakfast and a good value too.
this is a little slice of Americana in a wonderful little town (with City status). The apple and cherry fritters are delicious and the blueberry donuts are the favorite of everyone in my office. Go early because they sell out - and ask the counter person why they're called Spudnuts.
My perception of this place may be a little biased based on it being a part of my childhood. Spudnut has been around at least since the late 1960's. It is a simple diner/coffee shop close to the downtown mall and kind of the crossroads between the mall and what used to be a rough area. The donuts are great,...

The shop is that old-fashioned diner-looking kind of place, with a couple of fading signs outside. That got me pretty psyched right off! The donuts, as described in other reviews, run out REALLY fast, so by the time I got there, late morning/early noon-ish, there weren't many choices left. That's OK, too, 'coz there were SOME choices. The donuts, obviously,...

These are great donuts when warm. Not as good if you leave them setting out. Quick service. Coffee shop atmosphere. Not a large selection. One of the better donuts in charlottesville.
A Charlottesville landmark. Incredible donuts, vintage feel. Best fresh in the morning, but if you are only passing through...grab a dozen for the road. Bring cash.
The donuts are great, my favorites being the blueberry or plain glazed. Good donuts are not that hard to find, but this is a locally owned and operated little shop, with the most friendly people there ready to help you. Having been there several times I always have to remember to have cash on me (or hit the atm before...
