We were treated to a sumptuous long lunch at the Boars Head by family. Service was attentive and professional and courteous on a busy weekday. Room is elegant and quiet in spite being pretty full. We had (huge) delicious salads. Managed to find room for sharing absolutely the best bread pudding I've ever had. Parking was tricky to find nearby,... More

We had Sunday brunch here with friends. This is a very popular buffet on Sunday and we were fortunate to have made a reservation as almost all tables were taken. The buffet was extensive and included almost everything imaginable from classic breakfast fare to items for a complete dinner along with a broad variety of desserts. There were even two... More

Nothing about the Old Mill Room at the Boar's Head Inn has changed since my last review (December 2012). It is still the best place in town for an exquisite Sunday brunch (or lunch, or dinner, or just drinks). The staff is always courteous and welcoming, the food (both in presentation and taste) the best, and the ambience lovely. If... More

We ate at the Old Mill Room while staying at the Boar's Head. We had a lovely dinner. I had pork with collards that was fabulous. My husband had the rib eye special. They had very good options for children. My son and his girlfriend who are both students at Virginia enjoyed their food as well. Their homemade ice cream... More

What a wonderful Easter Sunday Brunch! The Old Mill Room is renowned for the quality, variety, and service at their special occasion brunches, and this was better than ever. From perfectly fresh, raw Chesapeake oysters to cooked jumbo shrimp, crab claws, a wide variety of salads and cheeses, smoked salmon, scallops, and mussels, to preparing omelets and waffles to order,... good for all meals, but sunday brunch is fantastic. don't miss it if you're staying here. despite all the great cville restaurants, go light saturday night so you can go nuts here with a somewhat clear conscience.

This restaurant had OUTSTANDING service and very good food. The menu may not suit very picky eaters but you can review this prior to going inside. All the food was GREAT! I do not know what options are available for kids as there was nothing listed on the menu so you may want to check with them prior to venturing... More

We wanted a nice breakfast before heading home from our weekend getaway. We chose the Old Mill Room thanks to Trip Advisor. I was surprised that Old Mill Room offers breakfast buffet as well as Sunday Brunch. That's a great thing. We would have preferred the Sunday Brunch but we just didn't have time to leave town that late. The... More

I went to the Old Mill Room as part of Charlottesville Restaurant Week, and it was such a wonderful experience! The service was attentive and friendly, and when we were running late the hostess was able to push back our reservation with no problem. The food was delicious-- I could have had the Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque for every course... More
