They serve great sandwiches here and its quick! If you miss New York Deli, this is the real deal in Virginia. What a treat! The pickles are good too! Worth checking out. Enjoy!
What a treat. It's an authentic New York kosher style deli in Virginia. Place is always crowded for breakfast. I got the pastrami and eggs with onion bagel and chive cream cheese-- wonderful. This is the real deal. Lots of paces have bagels now, but very few have bialys--this is one of them. And many delis have matzoh ball soup,... More
The menu is really extensive and they offer a lot of breakfast items as well as traditional deli fare. I liked that you can order different sized portions - either a half sandwich, full sandwich or sandwich and a half. The 'nosh' size is perfect if you can't take leftovers with you. It's nice to get the pickles and coleslaw... More
If you hail from the northeast, you sometimes get a craving for deli. Not fake deli, not just a sub, but DELI. This little place tucked into the far end of the Towne Center shopping center is one of the most authentic purveyors of real deli food in the DC region. The meats are terrific, corned beef and pastrami to... More
Had the delightful pleasure of "fressing" a la New York in Fairfax VA last week. Great deli meat po-boys and real home-made stuffed cabbage and salads. What a treat for this Brooklyn boy turned Cajun. Wanna really treat yourself? Go to Chutzpah.
A loti of delis claim to be like the NY style stores but very few actually make the grade. This one does. The corned beef meets the taste test as does the tongue (we could only find it here) The bagels are the right texture, inside and out, the pickles are outrstanding and the extended menu covers every true New... I carried out from here this past week for lunch. I order their beef brisket and sandwich. A small order is called a "Nosh" it was thrown together on half a piece of bread which was totally soggy and inedible. It came with macaroni salad if you want to call it that, I took one bite and had to throw... More
Delicious deli classics - thick, moist bagels w/hearty portions of cream cheese. On every table is a jar of real deli mustard. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating - easily customized our dishes w/out hesitation or making us feel like it was gonna be an issue... and they came out right!
Got a BLT and the bacon was very undercooked. Also ordered chicken noodle soup and it was nothing special. I heard a lot of co-workers raving about this place, but I left feeling unimpressed.
