I love Johnathans. We go there everytime we visit Smith Mountain Lake. It's got a cute bar, and a wonderful buffet. The price for children is about 1/2 price ($6. I think), so thats a great value, especially for my "tweenies". It also has a good outdoor area where you can see beautiful sunset views.

Whether it's lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch, you can always count on Jonathan's to delivery great service and great food at a reasonable price. Tuesday night is 1/2 Price Burgers, also!

Try the lunch buffet. It has lots of variety, great taste and very reasonable price. Great balance of Asian & traditional American foods. Plus, lots of dessert choices.

The buffet is consistantly great, food replaced often so it is always hot and appetizing! On Sundays the buffet is terrific with an omelet and waffle bar!

Jonathans' has undergone almost yearly changes in management since it opened. The current incarnation is as a mix of American and Thai food. The Thai menu is by far the best (only) available around the lake. The patio has great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's reasonable and worth a visit.
