We spent a weekend away at the Freemason B & B nearby and almost missed this fabulous restaurant that is almost next door. This is the best food and service I have had in a long time. The restaurant is small looks to seat around 35 people plus a few at the bar. They offer a 3 course for $30... More

We re-visited Voila this week and while the decor has been re-freshed, the food remains exceptional. It's french in concept but with local twists, possibly due to the owners Morroccan heritage. We ordered different fish courses ( by happenstance) and they were beautifully done, succulent and cooked just right. Wine list was good ( a little expensive perhaps but interesting)... More

We ate there Sat night (3-30) and the food was outstanding; I had the crab/rock fish cake, it was huge, and the best crab cake I have ever had. The chef turns out one great meal after another, the portions are always over sized. The service is great, ambiance terrrific, just a great place to have in the neighborhood! The... More

My husband and I visited for dinner this past Friday during restaurant week. What a treat! From the moment we stepped inside the front door we were reminded of a Paris bistro. We didn't realize until later that Maggie, one of the owners, greeted us herself and sat us quickly. Our glasses were quickly filled with ice water and our... More

Our first visit to Voila, as part of a whirlwind of restaurant activity during Va Beach and Norfolk Restaurant Weeks. The restaurant is located away from Norfolk's Granby Street restaurant scene, in a nicely maintained older section of the city at the corner of Botetort and W Bute Streets, very near the river and Norfolk's NOAA facility. It's a small... More

French cuisine that's not drowned in heavy cream sauces. The mussels, scallops (off the menu) and salmon dishes are all top notch.

I enjoyed dinner here with a group of co-workers on a business trip to the port of Norfolk. It was a bit over our per diem level, but the food was quite good and the wine list was great, with several affordable wines by the glass. The setting is formal, but the staff was very nice and did not seem... More

We had dinner there last night (12-29) and it was fantastic! We started off with the Beet salad, fresh greens and golded and red beets. Next, one of the dinner specials; Rock fish stuffed with Oyster Rockerfellow, over mashed potatos and a lemon menure topped with fresh asparagus. The bouillbasse was terrific also. We finished it off with the Chocolate... More

Had enjoyable meal. The crab bisque was outstanding. The chocolate mousse was authentic as they make in France, which means it probably contains raw egg. The one downside is I ordered the red snapper francesca which is a specialty of the house. The fish was served with too much salt, a common complaint I have at most restaurants is over... More

My husband and I had dinner at Voila a second time, and its proof that the first time was not a fluke. This tiny french inspired restaurant has seating for maybe 30-34 people, its cozy and decorated in a homey way with fabric, deep colors, architectural lighting and simple place settings. We ordered greek salad, keftades, goat cheese crostini and... More
