Me and my wife have been here many times before and it was always pretty nice, including the food. This time it was absolutely opposite experience. We have walked in at 2:30 PM for Sunday brunch. There were maybe 10 tables being served, so not too crazy busy, right? Well we were asked to sit in their green sofas and... More

A family conversation.... Mid April: "Mom, you're almost 90. Where you you want to go this year for Mothers' Day Brunch? Anywhere is fine with us." "Oh, the Green Onion on Colley Avenue? That sounds perfect!" Third week in April: "Hello, Green Onion? Yes, I'd like to make reservations for brunch on Mothers' Day. That Sunday at 11am. A table... More

This restaurant was great! I would always pass it and never go in but my parents brought me here for an early bday meal! It was fantastic from the service to the food! We ended up finishing everything that we ordered! I tried some of my mom's halloumi salad stack it was great and even though i'm not a beet... More

It was a bit chilly to be sitting outside but the sun was shining and it IS April... They have heaters on the patio!!! So anytime on the patio is a good time! The Saturday brunch menu was full of tempting treats and I know I will have to go back for the 'lobsta' roll ($18) but this time my... More

It was a Saturday night, and we got in a little early in order to make certain. Staff was attentive and funny, table a little ricketty but OK. Food was great. After a big dinner the night before we all dined on appetizers: Mussels were great! Fried Oysters and salads were the name of the game and they were delicious.... More

GREAT food and it's lovely to sit out on the patio when the weather is good. Creative combinations, delicious salads. Funky but fun interior and most of the staff is friendly. However, not everyone you encounter in the restaurant is friendly. That is one improvement I would make however the wait staff has always been helpful and nice. I'll return... More

It is unfortunate that the Great Neck location closed without notifying employees; however, the Norfolk location is open and doing well. Seasonal menu, great service and fantastic libations. Come visit Norfolks Green Onion!

The food is mediocre and the customer service is beyond bad. After a failed attempt a a second location-the management decided to close the doors in the middle of the night without giving any notice to their dedicated employees. This says a lot to me-I will not eat here!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Norfolk. The atmosphere is, hmmm, shabby chic I guess. It's a terrific place to meet friends, but a little risky for a date. Sitting outside during the mild weather is perfect people watching.
