We were really excited to eat here, since we had seen good reviews. We were promptly seated. We were eating an earlier dinner (6 pm), so it was mostly the happy hour crowd. . .oddly, they sat us right near the bar, so it was pretty loud. I ordered crab cakes as an entree, and it was average. My guest... More

Nice menu and the food was fantastic. We were with a large group and the service was VERY good. The menu was creative and the servings definitely plentiful. Great dining experience.

We enjoyed another fabulous experience and meal at 456 Fish last night! The service was gracious and attentive, the food was outstanding! Everything from the yummy fried goat cheese fresh salad to the delicious chef's special pasta (modified with pleasure), champagne we toasted, coffee and yummy mango sorbet to finish off the dinner. The pace was perfect and such a... More

The food is as good as advertised. One can certainly eat here for much cheaper than I and my date did (140 including tax and tip), but the prices are certainly not low. However, the food is of excellent quality, and the portions are generous--there's nothing worse than paying top dollar for miniscule portions. The service was professional and prompt,... More

There is no other explanation why 456 Fish is not #1 in downtown Norfolk. Hastily adding: one can dine very well at this sophisticated, upscale bar and restaurant for far less. My first visit there (just before a recent Norfolk Admirals hockey match at the “within walking distance” Scope Arena) I paid less than half that for an exquisite two... More

Nothing to write home about to sum it up, limited choices, mediocre food for the money also it can get noisy in there.

The restaurant my boyfriend and I were originally going to was closed. Then as we were walking up the street we saw the sign and decided to stop in to try. It was not a busy night, and we both had the specials. My beer battered fish was delicious and the mashed potatoes it was served on was very good.... More

Pan seared grouper on garlic spinach and fried plantains was a study in contrasting tastes and texture. I enjoyed every bite! The noise level was low enough for good conversation.
