Great location, great food, very nice servers. We ate there at least 3 times and can't complain at all. Try their hibiscus tea and don't forget dessert!
The food at centrally located Zaco’s Tacos is just plain great. Indoor and outdoor seating (not unusual on this little island), food prepared by the local owner, nice wine and friendly service make this place a must. The food style is mostly Mexican, but the exquisite tastes blur ethnicity and make you want to return again and again for the... More
This was easily my favorite restaurant on Culebra. The patio was quaint, the drinks were delicious, and the food was fantastic. I was very impressed with the vegetarian options. I would highly recommend Zaco's.
If you're lucky enough to be there after they have been roasting a pig for days, get the roasted pork tacos or enchiladas. Ours were amazing. We piled on the "Hotter Than Your Mama" sauce but we were too scared to try the "Burns at Both Ends" sauce. Ours was so good, we got a second order to go for... More
The menu is varied and it looked like all the diners found something they liked. The variety of hot sauces is great, too. We returned here for a couple meals during our short stay, and it was our favorite place to eat. The patio dining area behind the storefront has ceiling fans and kept us cool in the middle of... More
My husband and I spent 4 nights on Culebra and ate at Zaco's each and every night. The food is delicious, fresh, plentiful; the atmosphere is friendly and casual; and the prices are surprisingly low. Try the fish tacos; and for the vegetarians in the crowd, the blackened tofu tacos are fantastic, as are the tofu and spinach burrito and... More
Zaco Taco on the island of Culebra is a must visit for lunch. Monica will great you with a smile, offer you a Margarita to start off your order, as you browse this causal, relaxed eatery's menu. Just recently I went thru a pork-belly taco (perfectly cooked), a tofu taco and a final black bean taco. Inside is cooler as... More
My husband and I have only been to Culebra twice, and have probably eaten Zaco's Tacos 7 times. Lunch time would come around and we'd look at each other, shrug our shoulders, and say, "Eh, Zaco's again?" It never gets old! It's consistently delicious. We went with another couple the second time and they were obsessed with it as well!... More
The atmosphere at Zaco's was super fun. The bartender was great and gave us a lot of tips on where to eat and where to stay when we got back to San Juan. The tacos were unique, fresh, and delicious. Open during the slow season!
