Creative menu options (such as the "Dragon's Tooth" sandwich with eggplant as a primary ingredient), plenty of choices for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Mostly sandwiches, soups, and salads, as well as some heartier fare, and tasty desserts baked in house. Good place for a lunch meet-up with the girls, date night, or celebration. Nice laid-back atmosphere. It's on a side street... More

Only had a bagel, but enjoyed the atmosphere and selection of baked goods. Nice respite in downtown.

I had a night off and as I celebrated at dinner with friends I realized I had never given one of my favorite restaurants a tip of the hat. I found Wildflour eight years ago when I first arrived in Roanoke, searching for a property to start up a B & B. It is nestled in the middle of the... More

I tried the tuna sandwich and believed that it was one of the worst that i ever had, and it was served ice cold. It got two stars solely because of the fantastic art that covered the walls of this Roanoke Cafe...

The restaurant was recommended to us by our Innkeeper and we were not disappointed. They had a large and interesting menu and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We got a couple brownies to go and they were great too.

Went there for lunch -- a low key place with terrific sandwiches and dessert (makes sense, given it's a bakery!). The menu selection of sandwiches and salads was extensive. Casual, comfortable and friendly.

I loved the ambiance of this place. My husband found it for a quick family lunch as we were driving south for spring break; it was a nice find and it made for a pleasant break from the road. The place has an artsy and funky vibe; local art (for sale) covers the walls, and I'm pretty sure they also... More

On our visit to Roanoke, we tried this place first. It is nestled in a quiet historic residential area. The menu is fresh and eclectic. Wonderful selection of salads and sandwiches. Desserts are amazing! Worth a visit!

Great place to get soup, salad, or sandwiches with a touch of *fancy*. My husband is usually not the type of man who would willingly eat at a place that serves herbal tea, but even he was impressed with their hamburger and beer selection. In fact, he said his hamburger was on his list of top five burgers ever consumed.... More

Just passing through and this place was perfect. Simple, friendly, casual, with excellent food. I had the beans and rice. Need to know it is mildly touched with clove. It was wonderful. Husband had meat dish. Salads were really nice as well. Vegetarian options can be made vegan.
