Have just come back from breakfast at DOC Taylor's Restaurant in Virginia Beach and found the atmosphere very welcoming, staff very helpful and clients to be very eclectic. 3 items were ordered; the fantastic sweet potato pecan pancakes, cobb omlet (rather bland without hot sauce) with a side of cheese grits (butter provided on the side) and corned beef hash... Food is always fantastic & the staff is pleasant. The mimosa's for $2 certainly makes this place attractive. Be prepared to wait if you go on the weekend!

After an early morning walk along the board walk Doc Taylor's was the perfect end to that with a fabulous brunch. good coffee and even better bloody marys. DON'T miss this place - looks nothing from the outside but great inside

great homestyle cooking in an old house you possibly grew up in. food was very good and priced very reasonably. seems to always be crowded and is a local's favorite place.

SO I read so many reviews about this place because let me be honest here I am picky and hard to please. However when I heard that this place was where God dined I figured heck may as well have at it, right? Wrong. The food was bland, bland, bland. My husband who grew up in a home of canned... More

We waited well over an hour for Sunday brunch. While it was good, it was not worth the 2.5 hours spent waiting and then feeling rushed to eat as the lines just kept growing. Food and coffee were good and the server was attentive, just not worth the time spent standing and waiting. I'd be willing to try it again... More

It was very crowded on Sun morning and there was a wait. The menu is good and the choices were nice. They offered enough for a glutton free person to enjoy themselves. The mimosa was not watered, and particularly potent. We had a good time, but the tables are so close together it is hard to have any kind of... More

Probably the lightest, tastiest omelette I've ever had! Good coffee, service with a smile. I'd definitely go back again.

Doc's has anything you want for breakfast, healthy or not so much. :) Like Tautog's next door, a line forms quickly so plan to arrive early.
