Ate here for lunch last Saturday. We both had spaghetti (carbonara/bolognese) and they were both very good. The chef came out and sang. The place was absolutely spotless and the wait staff were excellent. Just the right amount of attention, not too much and not too little. Will eat there again. The only negative I would have for this place... More

Our dinner was lovely. While we were dining, a young girl traveled the restaurant playing the violin. After dinner, about 9:00 p.m., the chef and owner came out and sang some lovely Italian songs. It must be a local favorite. He was very well received and added to the enjoyment of the evening.

Very sweet place. The owner greets you at the door. Varied menu, surprisingly extensive Italian wine list and very attentive service. I had an well prepared Ceasar salad ( Anchovies only on request but of excellent quality) and veal piccata, tart and lemony, with capers, a single caper berry and a side of farfalle with tomato sauce. The side was... More

Violino's continues to provide amazing Italian food in Winchester, VA. It is fresh, it is homemade, it is really good. The bread basket with homemade bread has three kinds of perfect bread, the olive oil is fruity and delicious too. I had spaghetti carbonara and it was amazing...and had a perfectly poached egg on top. It may have been just... More

This was our second visit to Violino. The first resulted from a simple "drive by" after a volleyball tournament when we were all hungry. We were a bit underdressed, but that did not stop the folks at Violino from welcoming us in to their restaurant. The food then was so good, my nearly 17 year old said this was where... More

I used TripAdvisor comments to pick this restaurant for our one night stay in historic Winchester. I'm not usually a fan of Italian, but this one was a winner! Service is spectacular and very attentive. Food specials were incredible (he had the lobster ravioli with lobster tail; I had a trio of ravioli). Both were superb! An appetizer special of... More

This family owned and operated restaurant is wonderful. The entire family works in the restaurant and are committed to making your dining experience memorable. The soft shell crab was delicious! Plenty of attention to detail and the chef is superb. Don't miss it.

I ventured in here while staying down the street at The George Washington and would definitely go back. Traveling alone on business, I found the ambiance welcoming, the staff helpful, and the food excellent. On a Thursday night, the restaurant was bustling with activity, both families and business groups. The menu has a great selection of meat, fish, pasta, soup,... More

Our hotel (The George Washington) recommended this restaurant as the best restaurant in Winchester. When we looked it up on TripAdvisor they too seemed to agree with the number on slot for Winchester. Once we ate here we too agreed that this was the best meal in town! The restaurant is front and center on the main mall street in... More

Violino is an Italian restaurant located on the Walking Street in Winchester, VA. When they are not doing construction on the street, there is a small area where you can sit outside on a nice day and enjoy a meal. Otherwise, you can enjoy your meal inside accompanied by decorations of musical instruments and Italian themed art. (I would recommend... More
