After hearing good things about this Xinh's we decided to try it out on a recent trip out of town. WE got there as it was opening for the evening and they asked us if we had a reservation and there was not one other person there! No matter, they quickly brought our drinks and a small basket if plain... More

The place made me sad. I know that I'm a bit of a food snob, but for what they charge I should be. The waitress, who was friendly, started out poorly by not telling us of the geoduck appetizer; we learned of it as we were ending out meal. Atmosphere in the restaurant is nonexistent. It's a pretty shabby (not... More

Chef Xinh is a master of Pan-Asian cooking and uses the freshest ingredients including seafood from Taylor United which owns the restaurant. Her tamarind sauce is worth the drive all by itself! Services well-paced and friendly, but not hovering. This is one of our favorites for special occasions of all types-even if we have to make one up!

We ordered 4 different entrees and two appetizers consisting of oysters, clams and goey ducks. Within an hour of leaving our stomachs started hurting and we were burping on the verge of throwing up the old unfresh seafood. The next morning we were all paying for the disgusting food asnd felt like we were dying. Seafood is nothing to mess... More

We're from the East coast so we wanted to try West coast seafood. The stir fried oyster dish I had contained about 20 Pacific oysters! It was well seasoned and very fresh. Everyone enjoyed their seafood choices. The star of the night was the shared geoduck sashimi platter which had everyone's eyes rolling at its sweet freshness. Service was friendly... More

Xinh's continues to provide tasty seafood dishes with unusual preparations and sauces. Most dishes come with fresh vegetables served on top as a garnish. On our recent visit, we shared a goeduck wonton appetizer and and a dish of small oysters on the half shell.. Both were amazing. Then the four of us each ordered an entree filled with shellfish... I've been going to Xinh's since it opened and it only gets better. Xinh, the owner, does it all and with flair. She has great loyal staff and they keep you happy even when the front room is packed with hungry felllow oyster eaters. Very good local wine - including Walter Dacon wines from right around the corner. The specials... More

We made the drive from Olympia because of press restaurant received. Nothing notable in Shelton except this non-descript restaurant. Food is fresh with lotts of sea food choices. Atmosphere is basic. I only eat shellfish if extremely fresh and this is their reputation. We made it agin late afternoon drive with friends.
