The dinner was a little pricey for what we were served. Atmospher is very nice. We enjoyed the Irish coffee. The entrance is difficult for persons with mobility concerns.
52 Stafford has a cosy atmosphere, reasonable prices, good food. Building is very historic and has a beautiful bar.
This is our second attempt at 52 Stafford with a group of men and women (10-12 people) trying to get a meal. Impossibly slow service, wait staff that is uncertain of everything, food that is not what the menu describes. Two hours later we left for the last time. The decor is charming and the location worked for this group.... More
I believe this review was the same party as the review below. I am truly sorry that your dining experience was less than satisfactory. Monday nights are typically the slowest night in our restaurant. The Monday you joined us we were somewhat overwhelmed with an abundance of tables. I have personally addressed each and every concern that you stated with... More
A group of 9 of us ate here on a Monday evening. We did have reservations so they no knew we were coming. The inside of the building is very charming and the Irish Pub looks authentic. The service was poor from the start. Our waitress forgot 2 of our drinks, one of which came one and one half hours... More
Very old building with history of the city. Irish themed menu done very well. Live music in the bar dinner area on some week nights. We have had both lunch and dinner here and never had a complaint.
Had a girls spa weekend at the spa at Kohler and we stayed here. The price was right, the room was comfortable and amazingly the rooms were quiet. The lobby is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Enjoy the nice breakfast in the morning and have a drink at the beautiful bar.
I ordered the chicken with rum sauce and it was outstanding. The chicken was extremely moist and the sauce was really tasty. There was a potato veggie mix on the side and it's probably the best mixture of veggies I've ever had. My hubby had the shepherds pie and it was very flavorful and moist. (We swapped dishes so we... I ordered the roasted chicken breast with rum cream sauce. Excellent. Very moist, tender chicken and the sauce was light but with a pleasant mellow flavor. It was served with Colcannon potatoes and they were authentic Irish potatoes. The plate also came with a large serving of fresh broccoli and julienne carrots. Both were steamed to perfection and instead of... More
I can recommend the root soup, and the prime rib was ok. But the service was super slow. It took two hours and the place was not that busy. Others in the group had the pork chop and said it was dry. Another the lamb shank and that was very good. So mixed results.
Atmosphere of the place is great. Food, not so much. I should have known something was off when there were only 3 tables in the place on a Saturday night. If the locals wont eat there, you should probably go somewhere else.
