A nice place with great bakery and food. However, prices have really gone up. A bowl of soup was over $10!

So this was a nice little find. My wife, son (4), daughter (1), mother- and father-in-law, and I stopped here one morning for a bakery breakfast. We arrived just before it opened on the Sunday (9am) and there were already people lined up for the bakery.
We were about 4th in line behind some folks who looked like locals. By...

The place has great bakery, but $2.50, and $4 and more for one item?
No wonder people were not buying. Not the greatest on customer service. My hubby was waiting for Corsica Bread, which is great, and I was looking in the glass cupboard for treats. At no time did the man ask if I wanted anything- he could have...

We don't miss the bakery whenever we visit Door County.
We try to arrange our morning so that we can dine in for breakfast. Bacon and eggs come with a generous portion of fresh fruit and fresh cherry jam for the toast. Don't miss ordering the Crocodile bakery. Quiche of the day is always interesting too. Very nice people behind...

The food is great and you can shop too. We bought fish and some wonderful bread. They have many samples available.

For breakfast my wife had the Cinnamon Oat Cherry French Toast and I had the breakfast panini...

It was cold and rainy outside, stopped in for lunch. No one to seat you or tell you where to sit so it was a wait for someone to notice me sitting there. Its your average bakery. Nothing terrible but nothing that i have to go back for. Average at its best.
The baked goods here are the best in Door County. The breads are very good. The pastries are excellent, however these could be the most expensive baked goods in the world.
Door County Bakery is located on Hwy 57. The have fresh baked goods (the Corsica bread is worth the trip alone) for sale, as well as canned/bottled goods, a deli and wine. You can eat meals there in a very casual environment, and it is reasonably priced
