The staff was so friendly. It looked like a little cabin in the middle of town. It was nice and cozy and they played some bluegrass music which always makes a Kentucky girl feel welcome. We made reservations and thankful that we did. The food was great and we were seated at lovely table. Our waiter was delightful and quick with service. The menu had many items that we would have loved to try. The atmosphere inside the house was warm and inviting.

I was not displeased or impressed by Cafe Genevieve. The food was fine, our server was okay but the $7 for a side of aspargus was outragous when only five pieces of aspargus arrived at the table?!

We were looking for an early dinner, but discovered most places in Jackson don't serve dinner until at least 5. Genevieve offered a happy hour that included a great pulled beef with tasty french fries and a delicious spinish-walnut-strawberry feta cheese salad. This proved to be a delightful light dinner that was well prepared and very tasty.
