Good vegetarian sandwiches. The watermelon lemonade was made so fresh.. must have...Perfect for a sunny afternoon..
We stopped here after finding that Pat's Taqueria was closed. I had the kalua pork and my husband had the fish tacos. I just did the mini-bowl instead of the plate which worked fine. The pork was tender but it was lacking flavor. The fish tacos were small, but there were two of them. My husband said they were ok....

It is hard to find good food in Hanalei that is affordable but this little place was great. Our local friends recommended it and I would too. The taro cake with coconut and the ginger lemonade are to die for :)
The food at the Taro truck is great, but it isn't very fast if that is what you are looking for. The pork is delicious. Tour buses stop here so it is best to avoid it if a bus is parked in front.
Finally a chance to partake in some real Hawaiian food. Poi with roast pork and let's not forget the taro smoothie! In my 4 week stay I for it almost impossible to find "Hawaiian" cuisine. So happy I found the Hanalei Tara and Juice Company. It's a must do!
This is an inexpensive and delicious food and drink spot. I loved my homemade tarot hummus on the tarot burger, and the homemade ginger ale was sooooooooooo good too. I liked sitting at the picnic table and watching the world go by and the chickens pecking around. A fun and good spot to eat lunch at.
We enjoyed the pulled pork with pasta salad & rice. Check out the yummy taro bread. It was so tasty we stocked up on this dessert, especially the coconut one. Who knew taro could taste so good?
Very accommodating and great juice and the taro cake was fantastic. Also be sure to do the taro farm tour.
This looks like a simple lunch truck just after the Dolphin Restaurant. Do not be fooled. They have some of the best 'grinds' (food) in Hanalei. We can heartily recommend the lau lau. It is a 'Gotta Go' kinda place. IHG, Rube
