This indoor outdoor restaurant had a really relaxed yet hip ambiance. A real balance of island feel and sophistication. Nice little"local" style bar in the front too. I highly recommend the Kalua Spring rolls appetizer, a lightly fried shell stuffed with Kalua pork and spicy mustard. My wife had the fresh grilled catch (white bean, arugula & tomato ragu prep)... This was the only restaurant we regretted choosing during our trip. The setting is pleasant and the live music was lovely. The server was friendly but rarely stopped by our table. Not many draft beers and mine was not filled to the top and didn't seem fresh. Ordered: fish rockets, beef sliders, scallops. Fish rockets were not so great- ahi... More

I tired the Lighthouse Bistro for dinner on two occasions, with the same result: the food was OK, average. But I am a solo diner, and they treated me like a second-class citizen. It was like pulling teeth to get more water, salt -- there's no salt and pepper on the tables, or just about anything. When my totally average... More

I stopped there or a quick bite and it was good, the lace is a little of the beaten path but it’s worth the stop. We had the Rockets and a spring roll. Sorry not that hungry Both of the items were very tasty and perfectly cooked. Stop in and have some local beer. The waitress was Emily was great

Chanced upon this place when visiting the lighthouse so stopped for lunch. Service was a bit slow but it is a genuinely laid-back place dude. The salads were chosen by the ladies with us as main meals and they were very good - fresh, interesting, well-structured salds which met with acclaim. Hamburgers were the guys choice and these were juicy... More

After years of enjoying the great selections at the Lighthouse Bistro, items have changed and not for the better. It used to be that you could have the fresh catch prepared three ways, my favorite of all time was the ginger crusted ahi with lemon beurre blanc sauce. It was absolutely scrumptious!! Steak was also prepared your choice of three... More

We had dinner at this great little restaurant. Good range of food on the menu, and delicious. I'm not really a big foodie, but it was actually the type of place I thought I'd like to come back to some other time to try something else from the menu. Waiters were lovely - gave excellent service. Check out their website... More

No trip to Kauai is complete without a trip to the Kiluea Lighthouse on the North Shore. After you've enjoyed the wildlife sanctuary and a tour of the lighthouse, stop at the Lighthouse Bistro for a memorable meal. They rocked us from the start. Our server, Matt, knows exactly what's local and what is flown in. He is generous with... More

On Kauai for our annual 2 week stay for R & R. Stopped here for lunch and had a fantastic time. The waitress was helpful and wanted to be sure our sandwiches were prepared the way we wanted. Ordered the Kilauea burger and the fish burger and both were GREAT! The fish of the day was Ahi and on the... More

To start, the bistro is nice, open, airy, but the food was only average at best. My wife and I had the hamburger and the fish sandwich, which we split. The mahi they used in the sandwich was strongly flavored, and was not overly appealing. The burger was a bit better, but it too was not excellent. For the kind... More
