We stopped in for happy hour on a weekday afternoon. We wanted an ocean front patio restaurant and picked Honu because Mala's parking lot was full and Honu still had free parking avaliable. I was surprising unimpressed with the food at Honu. We had the mussels and the Rock Shrimp with Asparagus. The dishes were both quite boring and bland. Our family dinner at Honu was one of our best meals on Maui. The food is exceptional and uses local ingredients extensively. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The view of the ocean and sunset while dining on their deck is incredible. We'll definitely dine at Honu again!
