I disliked nothing. I loved the atmosphere, the salmon I ate, and the service. Also, my wife loved her lobster.

We stayed in Bar harbor for a couple of nights and had dinner here. The service was great, the staff were really helpful when my wife and I couldn't decide between a few of their menu items. The Thai green lobster risotto was amazing and my wife absolutely loved the beef sliders, with sweet potato fries.
The staff also advised...

we found McKay's to be very well done- decor wise. My husband and I both chose the duck meatloaf wrapped in prosciutto, i think. It was very tasty. We both enjoyed it, plus mashed potatoes and veg. For dessert we split a sundae (which was good-sized with jack daniels ice cream, brownie, choc. syrup, and candied hazlenuts. I'm not a...

We love food done well, but we weren't terribly hungry the evening we visited McKay's. The restaurant okayed our sharing a very nice filet and salad. The dinner salads are inventive and delicious, and the wine choices are reasonably priced. The restaurant has a lovely outdoors eating area, too. Nice atmosphere.
McKay's is consistently very good. The ambience is pleasant--in an old house just a half block away from the crazy swarms of downtown Bar Harbor. The service is always great. For appetizers we've had the spinach and artichoke dip which is very good. For main courses, the shepherd's pie is great--they use ground lamb for the meat which is a...

It more than met all of our expectations of a unique menu, that was reasonably prices and had a variety of dishes to eat. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was...

The food and choices were wonderful, with exceptionally friendly and professional service. As good as any NYC restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely Barolo wine with dinner that made the experience even more pleasurable.
Reserved & requested a table close to heat, we were seated close to fireplace & radiator, a definite plus .Ordered a Rob Roy dry, rocks & twist, bar tender had to look it up but presented a delicious drink, another plus. Ordered mussels & salad to start. Place setting had 1 dinner fork , way too large for mussel shell,...

This is one of my top favorites on Mount Desert Island. McKays has a wonderful atmosphere because the building used to be an Inn and hold a lot of the old time charm and architecture. The copper top tables and lamps with red shades add to the warmth of this restaurant. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. In...
