We were excited to try this coffee as it has high praises, but were disappointed and couldn't even finish it. All four of us are coffee drinkers and thought it was terrible, tasted extremely bitter and rancid.

We stopped by Blue Bottle in the 1pm hour during the week. The Ferry Building is super busy because of the excellent lunch choices. We were in a line 15 people deep but it was worth the wait for this excellent coffee. The Gibraltar is a treat.
It was such a busy day that we had to queue even at the side window for coffee.
This is the first place I've found in San Francisco that knew what a short macchiato was and made it properly (no doubt there are others but I haven't found them yet).

we drove here by a guidebook recommendation, it's a lovely little place with wee wooden counters and little stone seats across a tiny lane. delicious coffee, it was a pleasure to smell the flavour some 300 feet away from the place.
Loved the coffee. It was so flavorful and I am drooling just thinking about it. There is a long line at the front of the store. Tip: Go to the window on the side of the store in the ferry building.
I knew nothing about this place beforehand, not having read any of the reviews. We were taken there by our son, who lives in San Fran, and whom we are visiting.

I was expecting the hype to be over the top. The Barista was pleasant and made the shape on top by hand. Personally I loved the taste, but can see why some would say too similar to others. You only know if you try. Worked for me.
A perfect brew. The owners and employees know coffee and make a perfect cup every time. A treat. I like supporting a local California company.
My husband and I were quite curious after hearing over and over again how good Blue Bottle coffee was. And after seeing the line one day, we were extra curious. The line was HUGE. We happened to be in the area our last day in San Francisco and stopped in. As the line was short, we thought we would see...

Went to the location off Mission Street. If I had this coffee near my home, I'd never walk into a Starbucks again. Barrista's take pride in making a great cup of coffee. Wish they had half and half but it is worth a visit.
