Description: Daily Grill is located on Geary, near Powell, only a half-block from Union Square and in the center of San Francisco’s theatre district. Comfortable and clubby with booths and high ceilings, Daily Grill is a great place to take a break from the bustle of Union Square. The large menu and comfortable decor makes the Daily Grill a favorite stop before or after the theatre. Daily Grill is an updated version of the San Francisco grills of the past, providing generous portions of classic American dishes, such as steaks, chops, chicken pot pie, and meat loaf...a neat, friendly place where one can get crab cakes or a burger, Shrimp Louie or a T-Bone, along with martinis, single malts, microbrews and a good bottle of wine. The ambience is lively and clubby, with comfortable booths, dark woods and high ceilings.

Daily Grill is onsite restaurant at the Handlery Union Square - came in after late arrival/check-in at hotel for a drink/snack. Friendly bar staff, good selection of beer, wine & cocktails. Menu looked interesting but we got there after the kitchen closed. Would try it for sure next time we're there.

Ate here as part of a business group so we only chose from among a small number of menu choices, but top notch restaurants make sure that ALL of their menu choices are tasty. I have eaten at many other restaurants as part of a professional/business group and this experience was underwhelming. The dinner salad was rather mundane, the Morrocan... More

We ate at the Grill our first night in town. My husband absolutely loved the home style meatloaf and I had the penne pesto chicken, which as pretty tasty. We were able to get a table without a wait and the service was really good. The prices are a little above average, but worth the money.

This restaurant is right across the street from the Westin St. Francis and reasonably priced. The food is very fresh and the service is good. Do not expect gourmet cuisine, the restaurant specializes in "comfort food" (they have homemade chicken pot pie and meatloaf on the menu, as well as steaks and lighter fare. I had the chicken picatta and... More

Daily Grill has a nice bar area and it was busy. We walked in off the street and were fortunate to be seated right away. Service was excellent and the food was delicious - chicken pot pie and meat loaf.

This restaurant could be so much better than it is. Went there with my wife and another couple prior to seeing a play at ACT. The service was good and our waiter was attuned to our timing issues as we were going to have to make an 8:00 o'clock curtain. The restaurant has a nice feel to it. But the... More

We ate here as it was very close to our hotel and was recommended by our concierge and we were not disappointed. Upon entering the location, we were very pleased with the decor and the atmosphere, everyone was so helpful and the service during the meal didn't disappoint either, the waiter was very friendly and gave us some tips for... Situated next to the Handlery Hotel near Union Square this restaurant has some real charm - NOT the 'this is old with average food' but really delicious food in a charming surrounding. I had the pot pie that was large and chock full of meat & veggies which was delicious. We ate there several other times for breakfast and afternoon... More
