5-course tasting menu is a delight with great variety and panache wait staff is formal but friendly and seems delighted to have you there. Quail salad is superb, as is the signature lobster dish. Only a few reasonably priced wines, though

Every part of the meal was suburb. The wait staff is excellent at what they do, never missing a beat while not being in the way. From presentation to taste the food is as good as anything I've ever had.
I have to admit, having read all the rave reviews, I wondered what this dinner would be like. I was impressed. I went with my college-aged boys while attending a conference in San Francisco. The service is exceptional, gracious, and not at all stuffy. The staff bend over backwards to accommodate any request. My younger son is autistic and has...

I managed to arrange for the private dining room for a family celebration; with a five course menu and wine pairings. The staff was warm and helpful, the private room was beautiful and well prepared for us, and the food & wine were outstanding. Restaurant Gary Danko is the best overall Experiance, combining all aspects of how a fine dining restaurant should be. The price is right for what you get. Cannot wait to come back.

Over the years, we have eaten at many of the finest restaurants in the US. Our dinner at...

Gary Danko makes eating an occasion. The surroundings were stylish. The service was slick. The food was very good. Gary selects a five course menu (which becomes 7 with an amuse bouche and petit fours) and if you dont like it you can create your own 3, 4 or 5 course dinner.
We had three courses $78, two entrees and dessert....

Our second visit was as memorable as our first. Flawless service and delicious food. Just excellent!
Myself and my husband made reservations for this restaurant while on honeymoon in San Francisco. It was the most amazing meal of our 3 weeks away! The food was really beautiful and the service was unparalleled. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend this restaurant.
A while ago, I watched a film documentary about Jiro Ono a famous 85 years old chef, he was talking about rice sushi and he said:" If you don't know how to cook rice, don't cook it!"
I had the same thought when I went to this restaurant. As a rule I never eat italian recipes, but unfortunately. the"new californian...
