Just another of the 5-dot reviews of this place. The rice was perfect, the pieces thick & fresh, the Delicate Arch roll a work of edible art, the infused saki a delight, the local chefs friendly & knowledgeable. If you skip this place, your missing one of the best parts of Moab. Kanpai!

We were absolutely delighted with our meal at Sabaku. Moderately priced, excellent quality sushi in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The perfect end to a day spent outdoors in the hot sun and a nice change from our regular Moab haunts. It's a slight downside that you can't reserve for parties smaller than 6 but everyone seemed to get seated and... More

Like a lot of people, we were skeptical about a sushi restaurant in the desert. But Sabaku sushi might just be the best sushi we've ever had. Period. Chef Alex and his crew have come up with a great mix of traditional sushi with local flavors to make one-of-a-kind combinations to satisfy your sushi cravings. Very friendly too! We went... More

Let me start out saying that I was skeptical about sushi in the desert - and actually not a sushi person in general before our last trip to Moab. My husband and I just spent 10 days in Moab for our wedding and honeymoon, and ate here literally half the evenings we were there. The fish is fresh (I think... More

Sushi in the desert can be good if it's Sabaku Sushi! I love to hang out and watch them roll. The food is awesome and sometimes quite creative. I highly recommend this to anyone planning on visiting Moab.

We recently went on a saturday night . The wait to get in was not too bad, but to get our food was a bit on the ridiculous side. I do not have a number of minutes, but definetly slow. Other wise food was good. We were with friends so time was not huge deal, but we all noticed.

Sabaku Sushi was the right choice after hiking all day. Hubby and I both love hot --- the fresh ginger was fantastic - the wasabi divine but the best was a hot/spicey yummy roll ... it was something called "______ Crunch" -- gosh I wish I could remember. Anyway, the waitress said, "I'd like to warn you that this is... More

I love Sabaku! The food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the space is fancy (for Moab!). It does get crowded- so try to get there right at opening or later in the evening. I love the attention to detail at this place!

We went for happy hour and the prices were pretty decent. The sushi rolls were pretty good considering you are in Moab. We also had the agedashi tofu. Although not the best we've had, it was good. Pretty good value for your money.

It is true, you can find amazing sushi in the desert. The same high quality fish we get in the big city is flown into Moab daily. And the great people at Sabaku transform it into wonderful rolls or allow you to enjoy it as sashimi. I have been several times since the restaurant opened and have always enjoyed the... More
