Wonderful creative vegetarian & vegan selections that rival any meat dish anywhere. Plus: the menu offers a variety of selections that are flavorful & nutritious- sandwiches, salads, entrees, desserts. And the servers & staff just make you feel at home, right there in the Great Smoky Mountains. You gotta try this one! A Vegetarian's Treasure for sure- with outdoor seating... More

Even die hard carnivores like me will find something scrumptious at the Laughing Seed. The eggplant sandwich was excellent as was the EastWest Casa Dea. Give it a try.

If you're a vegetarian, this is the Mecca. If you're a carnivore - I dare you to try something and claim it's not amazing. Great food for everyone. My favorite place to take visiting friends and family while they're in Asheville.

Really good vegetarian and vegan food. Not a big fan of “vegan” food, but this seems like “normal” food and yet it is vegetarian and vegan. We have eaten here several times and never had a meal that wasn’t great. We sat in the outdoor patio and had a chance to watch the “locals” pass by. We will return.

Rarely can I find a great vegan restaurant this place had many choices. I had the Tempecado Wrap and my cohorts ordered several other dishes that I sampled from. The food was very well presented and seasoned so well. I find that vegan restaurants tend to lay on the spices or season down right to much, but this place had... More

I am a meat eater but my family are vegans and vegetarians . The food surprisingly was very good. I had the strudel whisk had a red curry sauce that was quite good. The room was noisy because there were a few parties and therefore the service was very slow. The waitress was very apologetic and gave us an unasked... More

My husband and I "discovered" Asheville on a recent business-plus-pleasure trip to nearby Hendersonville. What a cool town! A real hipster vibe with an active artistic scene. Our dinner at the Laughing Seed was on a par with the rest of our Asheville experience: unexpectedly fine. I am vegetarian and was thrilled to have so many options. I opted for... More

I've only been here once, but intend to give it another shot. After being on the road all day long and wanting nothing more than to eat and rest, we stopped in Laughing Seed. I ordered some Indian dish. The taste was astounding. The portion size was also astounding. I was so hungry, I couldn't believe the portion would be... More

It is all very good. And you don't have to be a Vegan to enjoy every bite. Word of caution...it is not open everyday so check before you go.
