As I read other reviews, you can get overwhelmed when you first walk in. It is a happening place, but reservations get you everywhere, so don't try to just walk in. The food was extremely fresh, bartenders were great, and so was the wait staff. Our server was extremely helpful with recommendations and was right on point. This restaurant was... More

Ordered several oysters from the various shores of the Northeast, tried the Flying Point, Chatham and Belons with some Littlenecks. The service was lightning fast and the food entrees were top quality, we had the Cape Cod Bluefish and Jonah Crab Cake. The service was from everyone in the restaurant it seemed, teamwork was evident for a memorable dinner.

We go to Boston often to see family and have tried several times to get a reservation. I got one a month in advance for our party of 6 and it was worth it! Fresh seafood, the oysters are perfection. The boulliabaisse was superb and cerviches all super fresh. Two of our party ordered the salmon and it was done... More

When I think about Boston seafood restaurants, I think about the old fish house atmosphere of a Union Oyster House type place. Island Creek is very different -- smart and chic. The food was very good and creatively prepared. The service was attentive. I particularly appreciated the option of still or sparkling water at no charge (I hate to be... More

I had a very meaty lobster roll, with great fries and slaw. Service wasn't very good, although the restaurant was not particularly busy

Really enjoyed this place. Even though I don't eat oysters and I don't drink alcohol,(what was I doing in this place? Hahahaha) anyway, my husband loves oysters, sooooooo, here we are. The service was impeccable, yes, I had a mock tail, expertly done and custom made to my taste. My husband of course had a couple martinis and many oysters.... More

Booked this restaurant a month before visiting Boston after reading the reviews and boy, am I glad. The restaurant is easy to get to as its across the road from a subway station and just around the corner from Fenway Park. Arrived at the restaurant 40 mins before our reservation to have a drink at the bar but the friendly... More

Easily made a reservation on Open table prior to Red Sox game. At 4;30 pm restaurant was busy and dress code was casual; plenty of shorts and Red Sox attire. We received excellent service and input from waiter Eric. What made the whole experience for me was Bonnie the asst. manager and her response to a slight snafu. My dining... More

Nice selection of Oysters but frankly the Lobster role was really bland. Many local or micro brew beers but they were missing top major brands (Stella, Amstel) so the beer was very disappointing. Nothing special about a big, high ceilinged room which was maybe 3/4 full just prior to a game. So however this got rated as #1 in Boston,... More

I read good things online so we decided to give it a try. We have never really had oysters but now I think we are hooked! Really cool, relaxing atmosphere, awesome food. We will be back!!!
