Most every restaurant is very good in the North End, but Marco's is our favorite. It is small and intimate therefore a reservation is a must. But it is worth it. Both the cocktails and wine list were excellent and our waiter gave us great recommendations as well. The menu, while limited, has a wonderful selection and the pasta with... More

What a lovely trattoria! It is on the 2nd floor and is small but that adds to the charm. The menu is changes and is small but the selections are thoughtfully prepared. There are more primi than secondi choices. They offer gluten-free options. We had the burrata special which is a "must have" if it is offered. The pasta and... More

We enjoyed our meal at Marco. The fried stuffed zucchini blossoms were a bit overly cheesy. The beet salad was well-presented and very good. The half-portion sizes of the entrees were very generous. I could not finish my eggplant lasagna, and my husband struggled to finish his cavatelli. Overall, a very good meal. Listen to other reviewers and try to... More

I read the consistently positive reviews on Yelp and Open Table and had to check it out. We requested a table by the window which I would recommend highly since it offers great views of Hanover as well as a bit of a respite from the noise in the restaurant. While tucked away on the second floor in a cozy... More

We've been eating at Marco's for the past few years and it's become our favorite destination in the North End. The food is sourced locally and is absolutely delicious. We've always enjoyed good, friendly service. To save a few bucks, try a bottle of the house wine: It's very good and reasonably priced. The last time we at there was... More

I am surprised to see some recent reviews disappointed with the service. I don't doubt the reviewers, but I think that was an anomaly. We have dined here several times and each time has been an exceptional experience. Our most recent visit was during Restaurant Week. It was extremely busy, but our reservation was available as scheduled. There was one... More

The North End of Boston, Hanover Street, is an area crowded with hit or miss Italian restaurants, long lines of tourists in front of some and restauranteurs pleading for you to come in in front of others. If you want to narrow down the list to one and have the kind of experience one can only describe as having multiple... More

Small, Romana style, was excellent. The beet and goat cheese salad was just right. The pasta dishes were available in half orders, which were the perfect size. I had a clam dish which was cooked just right. I definitely would go back

Trip Advisor Marco’s Restaurant We went to Marco’s at the suggestion of friends who remembered having a wonderful meal there. It obviously must have been years ago. We reviewed the website menu before going and it looked great. The first disappointment was that the actual menu bore no resemblance to the website; it was much smaller and did not offer... More

Well..kind of disappointing..The good, food was flavorful. The bad..kind of a sad little place upstairs that is a little tired. Service, lacking..ordered a $70 dollar bottle of wine..that was served to warm. Glassware...OMG..they were filthy! Asked for a clean glass..took for ever..and came back missing a full glass of wine..what happened to pouring that into a clean glass!! don't bother...as... More
