Great gourmet burger, and desserts! Staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. One of the nicest servers ever (Scott), helped with other recommendations to area activities and food. This was the 3rd year in a row to eat at the restaurant while touring the park and seeing the museums. Will be going back again next year and hopefully getting the... More

On our visit to Balboa Park, we were told to try the Prado Restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The setting is beautiful inside and out. It was a little dark in the restaurant at night, but it is spacious and we were not crowded by other tables nearby. The service was great and the menu covered most dining choices.... More

Sometimes, everything works out wonderfully. My wife and I have struck gold two times at The Prado. Firstly, having a scenic view of Balboa Park is a nice start. We were seated immediately. The wait staff is friendly and quick to make recommendations. The food is scrumptious and there is a nice selections of liquid refreshments. The layout of the... More

Nice location and decor but a very busy restaurant. Pisco sour was outstanding but the food wasn't that impressive given the high prices. Service was also very slow.

Eat in the Bar. It's a beautiful space. Lots of tables, lots of wait staff. Perfect for a meal before or after an Old Globe performance. We've been there when the park was full of people at some festival, and we've never had trouble getting in. The restaurant's full menu is not available in the bar, but there is a... More

We greatfully stumbled upon this super cute place for lunch. We waited for them to open and were quickly escorted to the back patio that looked like something out of a movie! Simply beautiful! Atmosphere was wonderful and we probably wouldn't have cared if the food was good or bad to be honest! Food was great though! We ordered a... More

We took friends from New Zealand to the Prado this week. Ate on the patio. We always order the kobi beef sushi appetizer - Outstanding. The service is great, the food excellent, the atmosphere wonderful. The only negative would be the price, but you get what you pay for. We ordered the flank steak panini and the pot pie and... More

Happy Hour is great here. Dinner can get pricy. The Calamari is too die for order 2 they are small portions. The Sangria is lovely on a hot day. Make reservations for dinner or you will wait a long time.

We loved this restaurant! The food was unique and flavorful. We had jhidori chicken and seafood paella and both were delicious and well presented. We ate on the patio which was beautiful and relaxing. The servers were attentive, friendly and very well trained. You have to eat here if you go to San Diego!

This is one of San Diego's best restaurants. I was born in and raised in San Diego and it comes no better!! The restaurant is stylishly adorned in an art deco style complete with fiesta ware. The bar is a great place to eat when you are in a rush--you can get full on the appetizers. They make the most... More
