The rueben sandwich is the best in the OBX. I love sitting outside watching the marina activity in the summer.
Ate at Poor Richards when in Manteo recently. Luckily we seemed to have arrived in a "lull" so were able to sit on the deck on a beautiful early November day. So as not to "lose the spot." Food is good but little atmosphere. Has an awkward entrance. No table service so go to counter and order but the sandwich I had was worth it all. No pretense, just succeeds at being a sandwich shop in a charming little coastal town
Food wax good and fresh. We had tuna and potato salad and BLT and soup. Nice reasonable priced food for lunch. We will come here again because we want to try the cucumber sandwich.

Good local beer selection and great bartenders. Trivia night on Thursdays at 8 p.m. Great dart board too.

Little has changed over the years other than expansion and updated interiors. The menu is simple, but remains fantastic. Boars Head cold cuts, well grilled sandwiches and truly crisp dill pickles are... More
We returned three times so that tells it all. This is a serve yourself order at the counter kind of place with inside and outside seating. Food was affordable and delicious all three times. We came by boat from Pirates Cove and it was a nice outing with yummy food after crossing the sound in our small boat. Casual outside... More
