A great spot for Roman Food in NYC, they should only to offer a better service and have a better wine list.
If I could give no stars I would. The menu was completely inaccurate to what we actually got... Oven roasted lamb? Try bbqed lamb joints with NO meat on them, basically dog bones. The salad leaves we're brown and shouldn't have been served. I'm not a fussy eater but this was without a doubt the worst meal I've ever eaten.
The setting and recommendations had led us to hope for an absolute top quality local experience. The setting is good, and with such a beautiful evening, the restaurant looked the part with its frontage opened up to the elements. Intimate atmosphere, friendly service and well compiled menu. The starters were well presented and well seasoned or accompanied with tasty sauces.... More
Stumbled onto this osteria while looking for something to eat before a movie at the Film Forum on West Houston. The person working at the ticket window suggested a French place on Bedford Street. We walked up W.Houston, made a sharp left at the corner, and walked down Bedford Street (these streets come to a sharp point). As we were... More
There was a large group of us for a birthday dinner, they had a reserved table tucked away.. Quiet, perfect ambience.. loved it from the moment we entered. The waiter suggested a prix fixe menu which was 3 appetizers, 2 pastas and 1 main, all served family style. The portions were plentiful and absolutely delicious. We had the cured meats/... More
I'm italian and, when traveling, I always try to avoid italian food and go for local food. However I go so often in NY that I have tried this roman trattoria: and it is a good one. The owners have some restaurants in Milan and the quality they have in NY is very similar: the result is that it is... More
We were starving and this place satisfied all our needs. Good food, very cosy atmosphere, very good location in the middle of the West village one block away from a lot of bars (gay bars). Very friendly service. We were happy to go there and we only regretted not to be able to come back during our visit to NYC... More
Having pre planned all our restaurants on our visit to the Big Apple, this was the only one that disappointed us. The menu on paper looked amazing, really authentic! The setting and the atmosphere couldn't be faulted. Unfortunately everything else was really disappointing. Evan though we had booked 3 weeks prior the service was rushed and fringing on rude. the... We had high hopes when the four of us walked into the restaurant. It was a really lovely little trattoria with candlelit tables and a really cosy atmosphere. The menu was quite limited but all sounded tasty. We all enjoyed our starters but the mains were really disappointing, small portions and none stood out as a really good dish. I... More
In NYC only for an overnight to visit family. We used Tripadvisor to find a restaurant in the West Village. We loved Quinto Quarto. Andrea was our waiter, very informative and attentive. The food was excellent and well priced. It was small and cozy, but we were able to talk at our table without a problem. We were fortunate to... More
