Description: Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.

I booked a table at JG a month before visiting for my sister's 50th birthday. I changed the date of the reservation a week before and received a confirmation that it was fine. I then received another confimreation for the original date so i email again and asked to confimr that we had the reservation we required. We had to... More

Fantastic food experience! One of the best Michelin-starred restaurants we've been to. DO try Egg Caviar - definately a must! Service is also perfect: promt & attentive. Very expensive, but worth every dollar.

Unlike some other "super chefs," Jean George's cuisine has not lost its luster at his stylish mid-town NY location. The dishes are imaginative but without the bizarre combinations some other culinary stars find irresistible. They look and taste absolutely delicious. The portions are generous. The service is flawless. The noise level is low. The entire experience is best summed up... More

Despite booking weeks in advance we could only get a 9.30 sitting on a sunday. We arrived at 8.45 to have pre dinner cocktails but were shown to our table almost immediately. The cocktails were divine and actually cheaper than our hotel and other bars we went to. We plumped for the 3 courses fixed price menu and with all... More

Very hard to rate this restaurant as everything deserves a separate star rating, so I will do so below. Service - 5 stars. I am forgetting our waiter's name now - Dan or Dave- he was simply the best! Ambiance - nice. I recommend requesting quiet booth- you are tucked away in a totally private booth apart from all the... More

This dinner on 4/20/13, to celebrate my wife Amy's 40th birthday, was our top dining experience of all time. Every aspect of the food, presentation, service and ambience exceeded expectations -- for 2-1/2 hours of bliss! Our server, Rachel, started off right by saying she would ensure we proceed through the meal at a proper pace to make our show... More

Jean Georges gets top reviews. No wonder. Beautiful, elegant space. Well-trained team, great captains that can make a conversation and are knowledgeable about their food and wine. Very interesting menu--albeit overworked in the search for contrasts. Expensive and expansive wine list. Overall a top-notch experience for a dear price. I was appalled a the cost of top Bordeaux. I took a very good friend for dinner last week. I've been to Jean Georges' other restaurants and I always had a great food experience and I loved them all especially Jojo, which is my favorite. Therefore my expectations were high with Jean Georges 3* Michelin. The food was good, but with ups and downs. We took the 3-course menu... More

The food is creative, beautiful and delicious. The staff is amazing, always there when you need them and nowhere in sight when you don't. Our party of four had the prix fix lunch on a buzzing Saturday afternoon with a full house. Every course was timed perfectly, then served simultaneously. I could go on all day, but I think the... This is the most amazing restaurant, the service is impeccable, the waiters are knowledgable about the food and are very attentive. The food is out of this world, with plenty of dishes to choose from, there is a lot of seafood on the menu which is great for me as I love the stuff. The menu is a set menu... More
